چکیده
Consider anomalous energy spread in solid phases, i.e., <Δx(2)(t)>E≡∫(x-E)(2)ρE(x,t)dx∝t(β), as induced by a small initial excess energy perturbation distribution ρE(x,t=0) away from equilibrium. The second derivative of this variance of the nonequilibrium excess energy distribution is shown to rigorously obey the intriguing relation d(2)<Δx(2)(t)>E/dt2=2CJJ(t)/(kBT(2)c), where CJJ(t) equals the thermal equilibrium total heat flux autocorrelation function and c is the specific volumetric heat capacity. Its integral assumes a time-local Helfand-like relation. Given that the averaged nonequilibrium heat flux is governed by an anomalous heat conductivity, the energy diffusion scaling determines a corresponding anomalous thermal conductivity scaling behavior.

Davies’ Method for Anomalous Diffusions
Davies’ method of perturbed semigroups is a classical technique to obtain off-diagonal upper bounds on the heat kernel. However Davies’ method does not apply to anomalous diffusions due to the singularity of energy measures. In this note, we overcome the difficulty by modifying the Davies’ perturbation method to obtain sub-Gaussian upper bounds on the heat kernel. Our computations closely follo...
متن کاملTransport of Particles and Energy in the Edge Plasma of the
In this thesis analysis and numerical modeling of transport in the edge plasma in the Alcator C-Mod tokamak are presented. Several important results were obtained in the course of this work, providing a new understanding of some aspects of the physical picture of the edge plasma in C-Mod. The key finding are: * Plasma escaping from the core recycles on the main chamber wall rather than in the d...
متن کاملAnomalous properties of heat diffusion in living tissue caused by branching artery network. Qualitative description
We analyze the effect of blood flow through large arteries of peripheral circulation on heat transfer in living tissue. Blood flow in such arteries gives rise to fast heat propagation over large scales, which is described in terms of heat superdiffusion. The corresponding bioheat heat equation is derived. In particular, we show that under local strong heating of a small tissue domain the temper...
متن کاملAnomalous Heat Flow and Its Correlation with Deuterium Flux in a Gas-loading Deuterium-palladium System
A special experimental device was designed to test the anomalous thermal effect of Pd with deuterium flux (Df ) caused by deuteron diffusion passing through a thin wall of a Pd tube under a D2 pressure difference across the Pd wall. It is found that the variation of the flux was the significant precursor of the anomalous heat, because a remarkable heat flow was detected when the Df was becoming...

Abstract Heat transfer in skin tissue is an area of interest for medical sciences. In this paper we intend to study fractional bioheat equation for heat transfer in skin tissue with constant and sinusoidal heat flux condition on skin surface. Numerical solutions are obtained by implicit finite difference method. We study the effect of anomalous diffusion in skin tissue and compare it with norma...
